A story that started in 1997
Bike Hub was born from the experience of Hotel Dory, Riccione’s first bike hotel. The first excursion was in 1997, and we haven’t stopped since.

Our Origins
It all started with a group of friends on bikes
It was 1997 when the first cycling excursion set off from Hotel Dory. No e-bikes, no GPS, no GPX tracks: just a group of guests, a few road bikes and the urge to see what lay beyond the promenade.
There was quite a lot, as it turned out. Hills, villages, breathtaking views and trattorias to stop at.

Almost Thirty Years on the Road
Over 30 years of rides
In thirty years of outings we’ve learned a lot and met some of the great champions of the past: from Francesco Moser to Eddy Merckx, from Vincenzo Nibali to Maurizio Fondriest.
Above all, we’ve learned to listen to cyclists: some are after climbs, some after views, others want an easy ride with a good tasting at the end.
From all this experience come more than 150 routes mapped by our guides across Romagna and Marche, from easy to challenging.
From Hotel to Hub
Why a Bike Hub
For years we hired out bikes directly from the hotel. Then demand grew, so did the number of bikes, and at some point the Bike Room was no longer enough.
That’s how Bike Hub was born: a proper bike hire and tour centre, open to everyone and not just to guests of the Dory. A hub for cyclists and cycling tourists, a stone’s throw from Riccione harbour, where you’ll find the right bike, a tested route, honest advice and someone to ride with.

Because the Romagna hinterland is a wonderful area that few people know well, even among those who live here. We’ve been exploring it for thirty years and it still surprises us: it would be a real shame to keep it to ourselves.
Built to explore
Our motto says two things at once. The first is that the Bike Hub is built to explore: it is the reason it exists. The second, the one we believe in most, is that every one of us is an explorer at heart. Looking for something new, finding different angles to see things from, exploring new perspectives: that is what keeps us alive.
And for us, the bike is the perfect way to do it:
fast enough to take you far, slow enough to linger over the beauty around you.

Come and see us at the hub
Today Bike Hub is at Viale Rimini 1 in Riccione, five minutes from the harbour, with over 200 Scott bikes of every type and size, guided tours for every level and more than 150 GPX routes, each one tested by our guides.
