Frequently asked questions
The questions we’re asked most often
Do I need to book in advance?
It isn’t compulsory, but it’s strongly recommended: it’s the only way to be sure of getting a bike in the right size. We recommend booking online, and if you have any trouble you can always write to us or call us.
When do I pay for the rental?
You pay a 30% deposit when you book and the balance in the shop when you collect the bike.
What is included in the rental?
The rental includes a puncture kit with an inner tube, a mini pump, tyre levers and the GPS tracks of all our routes. Flat pedals (for trainers) are included, as is a replacement bike if anything goes wrong. A certified helmet, a water bottle and clipless pedals (LOOK, LOOK KEO, SPD, SPD-SL) are not included but can be booked.
Can I collect the bike the evening before?
Yes, between 18.00 and 19.30. That way you can set off whenever you like the next morning without waiting for us to open: handy in summer, when it pays to leave early and avoid the heat.
What happens if it rains?
If rain is forecast for the whole day and you decide not to ride, we’ll refund you or move your booking at no extra cost.
Do you have bikes for very tall or very small riders?
Yes. The fleet covers every size, from children’s bikes for five or six year olds up to XXL frames for riders over 1.95 metres tall.
Can I use my own clipless pedals?
Of course. If you travel with your own pedals and shoes, we’ll fit the pedals when you collect the bike at no extra charge. If you don’t have them, we have clipless pedals available (LOOK, LOOK KEO, SPD, SPD-SL).
How much does hotel delivery cost?
The delivery cost depends on the distance from the shop: get in touch and tell us where you’d like the bikes delivered.
Can I see the bikes before booking?
Of course. Drop into the shop at Viale Rimini 1 in Riccione: we’ll show you the bikes and let you try the size, so you can decide at your leisure. From March to October we’re open every day.
Can I book more than one bike?
Yes, but the online booking system only takes one bike at a time. If you’re a group of more than three people, just fill in our contact form and we’ll take care of it.
